Inner Mongolia Guangju New Materials Co., Ltd. was established on October 29, 2020. It is a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Guangna Coal Industry Group Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 7 billion yuan. The company is located in the Low-Carbon Industry Park of Wuhai Economic Development Zone, Hainan District, Wuhai City. It covers an area of over 2700 mu, bordering Ningxia and adjacent to Ordos, with a superior geographical location and convenient transportation.

On February 24, 2021, the company started construction of a 5 million ton/year coal-to-coke chemical multi-联产 project. This project is a key project in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and a demonstration project for the transformation and upgrading of high-quality development of traditional industries in Wuhai City, with a total investment of 12.258 billion yuan. The project adopts advanced 4 groups of 2×55 holes, 6.25-meter reheating type ramming coke making technology and supporting chemical production recovery facilities. The construction content includes an annual output of 5 million tons of ramming coke ovens, 600,000 tons of coke oven gas methanol production unit, 200,000 tons of liquid ammonia unit, as well as supporting public works and auxiliary production facilities, 5×190 tons/hour dry quenching coke equipment and 4×30mw waste heat power generation units.

After the completion of the project, it is expected to produce 5 million tons of coke, 600,000 tons of methanol, 200,000 tons of liquid ammonia, 200,000 tons of tar, 60,000 tons of crude benzene, and 60,000 tons of ammonium sulfate annually. The annual power generation can reach 750 million kWh, with an annual output value of about 15.098 billion yuan and an annual profit and tax of 3.071 billion yuan.
