Owner Profile:
Fujian Quanzhou Minguang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was formerly Fujian Sanan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., established on November 6, 2001, in Anxi Hutou Town. Located in the Minnan Golden Triangle region, the company enjoys a superior geographical environment, abundant surrounding mineral and hydropower resources, and is surrounded by Xiamen Port, Quanzhou Xiaozhuo Port, and Quanzhou Houzhu Port. It has five dedicated railway lines, and is adjacent to expressways and provincial highways, making logistics extremely convenient.
In January 2007, Sangang Group and Sanan Iron and Steel completed asset restructuring; in June 2018, Sangang Minguang issued shares to purchase 100% of the equity of Sanan Iron and Steel, and was officially renamed Fujian Quanzhou Minguang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. on July 13, becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujian Sangang Minguang Co., Ltd. (stock code: 002110), a state-owned listed company. The company covers an area of 2072 mu, employs approximately 2700 people, has a registered capital of 342 million yuan, and fixed assets exceeding 2.5 billion yuan. It has formed a modern integrated steel enterprise with complete processes of sintering, ironmaking, steelmaking, continuous casting, and rolling, ending Quanzhou's history of "no steel production," and is an important steel production base in Fujian.
Its process equipment is advanced, with two 220m² sintering machines, two 550m³ and one 1250m³ blast furnaces, and three 50-ton converters. The main products are "Minguang" brand hot-rolled ribbed steel bars, hot-rolled round steel bars, and other high-grade fine building steel materials, and 160mm² continuous casting billet series products. In 2023, the three rolling lines of Quanzhou Minguang achieved impressive output, with bar steel production of 1.34 million tons, high wire production of 810,000 tons, and high bar production of 950,000 tons.
The company attaches importance to system construction. In July 2003, it passed the quality system certification, and subsequently passed certifications for measurement systems, quality (Q), environment (E), occupational health and safety (O) systems, energy management systems, CNAS laboratory accreditation, and two-in-one integration management systems. It has also won numerous honors, including "Excellent Supplier of Construction Materials for National Affordable Housing," "Top 300 Enterprises in Fujian Province in terms of Domestic Market Share," and "Quanzhou May 1st Labor Award." In 2025, its blast furnace project will be completed and put into operation, with a total investment of 1.588 billion yuan, covering an area of 105,000 square meters. Two new blast furnaces of 1200 cubic meters and 1250 cubic meters, and supporting auxiliary systems will be built, integrating internationally leading technologies, using innovative processes, with a 100% domestication rate, achieving the dual goals of energy consumption reduction and ultra-low emissions. The two blast furnaces are designed to produce 2.28 million tons of pig iron annually, reducing the fuel ratio by 11.6 kg/t, and an estimated annual cost reduction of 50.28 million yuan, continuously moving towards high-end, intelligent, and green development.
