Owner Profile: Shanxi Xingneng Power Generation Co., Ltd. was established on February 27, 2003, located in Gujiao City, Taiyuan. It was jointly established by Shanxi Coking Coal Xishan Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd. and China Huadian Group Shanxi Energy Company with an investment ratio of 80%:20%. It is the largest power plant in China that uses washed medium-calorie coal from the mine. The company's planned total installed capacity is 3120MW. The first phase, with two 300MW subcritical air-cooled units, was put into operation in September 2005. The second phase, with two 600MW supercritical air-cooled units, was completed and put into operation in June 2011. The third phase, a 2×660MW low-caloric coal thermal power project, was approved in May 2015 and put into operation in June 2017. Through the coal-electricity integrated operation model, the power plant can consume about 7.8 million tons of low-calorie coal from the Gujiao mining area each year, turning waste into treasure. At the same time, as one of the main heat sources for centralized heating in Taiyuan City, the total heating capacity reaches 76 million m², accounting for 36% of the total heating area in Taiyuan City. Since its completion, the company has achieved an annual electricity sales revenue of 3.7 billion yuan, heating revenue of 900 million yuan, and profits and taxes of 530 million yuan, demonstrating significant economic benefits. During its development, the company has won numerous honors, including "Top Ten Green Enterprises in Taiyuan", "Advanced Enterprise in Environmental Protection in Shanxi Province", and "China Environmental Friendly Unit". It has always adhered to scientific management and standardized operation, following the path of low-carbon economic development, striving to build a green power plant, and contributing to the regional economic transformation and green development.
