Owner Profile: The National Energy Investment Group Xinjiang Mulei Laojunmiao Wind Power Project is located in the Laojunmiao South Wind Area of Mulei County, with a total investment of 1.15 billion yuan. The project installs a total of 54 wind turbines with a single unit capacity of 5.6 MW, with a supporting 30,000 kW/60,000 kWh electrochemical energy storage system, for a total installed capacity of 300,000 kW. The wind turbine tower is 110 meters high, with a rotor diameter of 204 meters, a single unit weight of 484.55 tons, and a maximum swept area exceeding 32,700 square meters. Since the start of construction in June 2024, the project team has overcome difficulties such as tight deadlines, large construction area, and frequent extreme weather. They completed the preliminary procedures in just 18 days, the wind turbine foundation pouring in 40 days, and the wind turbine hoisting in 80 days, successfully connecting to the grid and generating electricity on December 31. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate 610 million kWh of electricity annually, saving 184,200 tons of standard coal per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 509,700 tons, nitrogen oxides by about 109.6 tons, and sulfur dioxide by about 98.02 tons, effectively promoting the optimization of the local energy structure and green development, and contributing to Mulei County's development of a 10-million-kW-level new energy base.
