Owner Profile: The Zhongmei Green Energy Xinjiang Mulei 40 Wells Wind Power Project is located in the Sixth Wind Farm of the Forty Wells Wind Power Planning Area in Mulei County, Changji, Xinjiang. It is a 2.36 billion yuan investment by Changji Green Energy New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Coal Energy Group. The project has an installed capacity of 400 megawatts, with plans to install 80 units of 5.0MW wind turbines, each with a 195-meter rotor diameter and a 110-meter hub height. A 220-kilovolt collection station will also be built. Since the start of construction in August 2023, the project has progressed steadily. The first wind turbine was installed in May 2024, and all 80 turbines were completed on October 29, 2024. Upon completion and commissioning, it is expected to provide the power grid with 103,284.2 million kWh of electricity annually, saving approximately 307,000 tons of standard coal. This will significantly contribute to optimizing the local energy structure, promoting green economic development, and is a crucial component of Mulei County's multi-gigawatt renewable energy base construction.
