Owner Profile: The Ma'er Dang Hydropower Station is located on the main stream of the Yellow River in Maqin County, Qinghai Province. It is the 12th cascade recommended for development in the planning of the Hukou to Erdunhe section upstream of Longyangxia on the main stream of the Yellow River. The project development task is mainly power generation. The key project mainly consists of water retaining, water discharging, and water diversion power generation structures. The Ma'er Dang Power Station project is a Class A (1) large-scale project in China. The dam site is selected 0.7km upstream of the canyon outlet in Laga Town.
