Owner Profile: The Gansu Energy Chemical Lanzhou New Area Combined Heat and Power Project is located north of Wei Wushi Road (Huaihe Avenue) and east of Jing Wushiyi Road in Lanzhou New Area. With a total investment of 4.05 billion yuan and a land area of 576,605 square meters, the project plans to construct two 350,000-kilowatt ultra-supercritical coal-fired thermal power units, two units and one tower, along with simultaneous installation of desulfurization, denitrification, and dust removal environmental protection facilities. It will also include supporting facilities such as an enclosed coal storage yard, water treatment workshop, and ash storage. Construction began in December 2023, with a planned construction period of 24 months. Upon completion and commissioning, the project is expected to generate 3.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and provide heating to a maximum area of 10 million square meters. This will significantly optimize the regional energy structure, meet the growing electricity and heating demands of Lanzhou New Area, and strongly promote local economic development and green low-carbon transformation.
