Owner Profile:

National Energy Shaanxi Jinjie Power Plant, the full name of which is National Energy Jinjie Energy Co., Ltd., is located in the Shenmu High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It was jointly invested and constructed by China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. and Ducheng Weiye Co., Ltd. at a ratio of 70% and 30%, respectively. It was officially registered and established on February 16, 2004, with a registered capital of 2.298 billion yuan.

The power plant is located in the Shenfu Coalfield, an important coal energy base in northern Shaanxi. It is a typical coal-electricity integrated enterprise and an important starting point for the national "West-to-East Electricity Transmission" North Channel project. The generated electricity is directly transmitted to the Hebei South Grid through a 500kV transmission line. The overall construction plan of the project includes 4×600,000+2×660,000+2×1,000,000 kW coal-fired units and a supporting coal mine with a rated capacity of 18 million tons/year. Among them, the Phase I and II projects, including 4×600,000 kW subcritical air-cooled units and supporting coal mines, were completed and put into operation in 2008, winning numerous awards such as the China Electric Power Quality Engineering Award and the National Quality Engineering Silver Award. It also applied domestic DCS technology to 600MW thermal power generating units for the first time; in 2017, it completed ultra-low emission transformation and became the first thermal power generation enterprise in Shaanxi Province to achieve ultra-low emissions. The Phase III project, a 2×660,000 kW ultra-supercritical unit expansion project, started construction in May 2018 and was fully put into operation at the end of 2020. It adopted the world's first high-position arrangement technology for steam turbines, the world's first integral frame spring vibration isolation steam turbine generator base, and the world's first central control method (eight units and one control).

In addition, the power plant has also built a "150,000 tons/year post-combustion CO2 capture and storage demonstration project", which is currently the largest post-combustion carbon dioxide capture project for coal-fired power plants in China. It adopts a self-developed multi-stage adsorption-regeneration-cooling three-fluidized bed CO2 capture technology, opening up new paths for the clean utilization of traditional energy and the sustainable development of coal-fired power enterprises. As of now, Jinjie Company manages and operates coal-fired power generation units with an installed capacity of 5.04 million kW (including Yusheng Thermal Power Plant's 2×660,000 kW ultra-supercritical coal-fired units), coal mine production capacity of 18 million tons/year, new energy installed capacity of 123,000 kW, and under-construction wind and photovoltaic capacity of 1.7831 million kW. It also has a 11-kilometer self-owned railway dedicated line (transport capacity of 5 million tons/year) connected to the national railway, forming a "five-in-one" industrial development pattern of thermal power, coal, new energy, railway, and CCUS.
