Owner Profile:
Hebei JianTou Yangquan Xi Shangzhuang Power Plant, formally known as Huayang JianTou Yangquan Thermal Power Co., Ltd., is a joint venture established by Hebei JianTou Energy Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Huayang Group New Energy Co., Ltd. It has a registered capital of 1.25 billion yuan, with both parties holding a 50% stake each. Hebei JianTou Energy is responsible for production and operation. The plant is located in Xishangzhuang Village, Pingtan Town, in the suburbs of Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. It is adjacent to Cuifeng Mountain, with pleasant scenery. It is 15 kilometers from Yangquan City, and 110 kilometers from both Shijiazhuang and Taiyuan, making transportation convenient.
Its construction scale is 2×660MW ultra-supercritical low-calorific value coal indirect air-cooled generating units. In 2023, it achieved "dual-unit commissioning," officially entering the commercial operation stage. The power plant has an annual power generation capacity of approximately 6.6 billion kWh, an annual heating capacity of 11.6 million GJ, and an annual consumption of approximately 3.8 million tons of low-calorific value coal. It can meet the heating needs of 18.43 million square meters in western Yangquan City. As a key民生热电 project for coal-electricity integration and combined heat and power generation in Yangquan City, it is not only a power generation point planned in the national "13th Five-Year Plan" power grid main framework (North China Power Grid part), but also a key component of Shanxi Province's energy transformation "West-to-East Power Transmission" point-to-grid transmission to the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan power grid. While ensuring a stable power supply in the region and improving energy utilization efficiency, it has also promoted local economic development, with good economic, social, and environmental benefits.
