Owner Profile: Guangdong Yuedian Huilai Power Plant is located on the east coast of Jinghai Bay in Huilai County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. It is operated by Guangdong Yuedian Jinghai Power Generation Co., Ltd., covering a total area of 2.124 square kilometers. The plant is planned to construct 8 coal-fired generating units with a total capacity of 7.2 million kilowatts, including 2 units of 600,000 kilowatts and 6 units of 1 million kilowatts. The first phase project, consisting of two 600,000-kilowatt supercritical coal-fired generating units, was put into operation in 2007. The second phase project, with two 1-million-kilowatt units, achieved dual commissioning in January 2013. It uses advanced domestic equipment and is equipped with environmental protection facilities such as electrostatic precipitators and flue gas desulfurization devices. It has two dedicated berths for 100,000-ton coal wharves, with an unloading capacity of 10 million tons per year. In 2024, the plant's cumulative power generation reached approximately 15.75 billion kilowatt-hours, strongly supporting regional economic development. The expansion project of units 5 and 6, a key construction project in Guangdong Province, is underway. It plans to build two 1-million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical reheat coal-fired units with a total investment of approximately 8.05 billion yuan. After commissioning, the annual power generation will be approximately 8.84 billion kilowatt-hours, further optimizing the power structure in eastern Guangdong and contributing to improved energy utilization efficiency.
