Owner Profile: Datang Yuncheng Power Plant, officially known as the Datang Yuncheng 630℃ Ultra-Supercritical Reheat National Power Demonstration Project, is located in Yuncheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province, with a total investment of 9.3 billion yuan. This project plans to build two 1 million kilowatt ultra-supercritical reheat coal-fired generating units. It is the only 1-million-kilowatt coal-fired power demonstration project approved during China's 13th Five-Year Plan and a major project for the transformation of old and new kinetic energy in Shandong Province. It adopts ten innovative technologies, including domestically produced martensitic heat-resistant steel G115, a dual-machine reheating system with power balance generators, and in-depth utilization of flue gas waste heat. It has created four "world's firsts"—highest temperature, highest pressure, highest efficiency, and lowest coal consumption—achieving two "first breakthroughs" globally in the reheating temperature and power generation efficiency of coal-fired units. It plays a significant leading and demonstration role in the independent innovation of China's thermal power technology and the efficient and clean utilization of coal. The project is expected to be put into operation at the end of 2025. After commissioning, the annual power generation will reach 10 billion kilowatt-hours, saving 350,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 945,000 tons annually compared to conventional coal-fired power plants. It will also generate 500 million yuan in local taxes and create more than 2,000 jobs, strongly promoting local economic development and the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy structure.
